“I stand in solidarity with my fellow black alternative Jfashion folk. We need to do our best as non-black folks to help raise the voices of the black community.
We cannot continue to invalidate their experiences.
We cannot continue to override and take their voices away simply because we want to give our two cents.
We need to rethink what inclusivity really means in our community and listen to one another with empathy and open-mindedness.”
